The ProCon 8300-03 is a versatile unit ideally suited
as an interface between serial communication and
infra-red control. It can be added to our range of
ProCon Control Panels to allow easy expansion of
the infra-red capabilities of the system. It can provide
an additional 6 infra-red control ports each with
LED indication during transmission. The 8300 can
also be used as a learner for creating additional files
to add to the infra-red library in the ProCon
programming software.

Two input/output ports are provided and they can be
configured to set a logic state on the ports or can be
set to detect a change in logic state on the ports.

The unit is also controllable from any other control
system by using a simple set of RS232 commands to
create a simple RS232 to infra-red interface.

The 8300-03 is mains powered and supplies 12V out to
any ProCon Control Panel and may be fitted with the
optional rack mount for easy integration into a system.
