The new 87X Programmable Rack Control System combines many of the features of ProCon Control panels along with built-in mains Relay control. The unit is also available with optional IP Control for remote management, control and monitoring using ProCon’s Site Manager software. For added flexibility more ports are available for connection to RS232, Infra-red and auxiliary ProCon products. The system can be controlled from any RS232 Serial device such as a ProCon Slave Panel or the 8230-01 Infra-red to RS232 Convertor along with an IR learnable handset. IR/RS232 Ports – 2 transmit ports for Infra-red or RS232 Serial control depending on the requirements and program. Two IR transmitter heads can be attached to each port or multiple RS232 devices attached in parallel. RS232 Ports – 2 ports for Serial transmit only or bi-directional communications when the IP option is enabled to allow monitoring and control of any device attached to those ports. Closed Loop Port – provides security when IP Control is installed. A closed loop attached to all vulnerable equipment sends an E-mail alert when broken via the on-board SMTP server.
I/O Port – logic level port for triggering events either from an input detection or triggering an output to control external devices. This port is programmed for either an Input or Output but does not provide any current drive for relay control. Aux Ports – 2 auxiliary ports for connection of any Serial controller or controlled device such as 85X Series Slave Panels. Relay – 2 internal mains relays can be used for either high or low current devices. These are wired inside the unit for complete isolation and can be used to control screens, curtains, hoists, or projector power or just provide a simple contact closure interface to lighting circuits etc. Programming is via the optional 8100-01 cable with software available from the website at www.procon.co.uk/support
