Sonos Controller CR100 for Sonos Wireless Digital Music System Reviews

Description

Sonos Wireless Controller (CR100UK)

The Sonos Controller is like having a full colour, fully functionally portal to all of your music on your network. As this could be up to 32 different NAS devices or PC's, the choice can be overwhelming, add to this Internet radio and services and your music collection really is fully accessible. However thanks to the intuitive control system, and universal scroll wheel, finding the right track can be accomplished in seconds.

The QVGA true colour display allows scrolling though libraries, queues and viewing album art quick and easy, even setting which zone to configure is straight forward thanks to the bespoke Sonos software. It's as simple as picking a song, a room and hitting the play button.

Sonos in the home

Sonos Multi-Room Music System:

Spread the music.

The Sonos Controller gives you instant access to all your music and all your rooms. You can turn off the upstairs music from downstairs or change the song in the kitchen from the den. That's because every Controller works wirelessly - no aiming required. And you can have as many Controllers as you want. With the Controller in hand you can choose a song or change it, use search to find your favorites, and quickly link and unlink zones to play the same song in every room or different songs in different rooms.

Wireless that works like magic.

Sonos takes wireless to a whole new level. Our mesh network technology provides whole-house coverage, ensures synchronous music playback, and avoids sources of wireless interference. Which means the music gets to all the right rooms - near or far - at exactly the right time.

A multi-room system that's flawless, flexible and fun.

At Sonos, multi-room is our mantra. We don't think about individual pieces of hardware or software. We think about the system as a whole and how to flawlessly deliver synchronized music to every room with total flexibility and total control. Plus, we made it easy to add more rooms of music without adding wires. Now what could be more fun than that?

Music from every source imaginable.

Sonos plays it all - from your personal collection of computer-based music files to Internet radio and the most popular online music services featuring millions of songs and stations.

Setup that's out-of-the-box simple.

Sonos was designed to work right out of the box - no technical or wireless expertise required. All you need is a high-speed Internet connection and a router to get started. Then simply open the box, decide where you want music and enjoy.

Equipment needed for a typical Sonos set-up and layout

When it comes to setting up your Sonos system, Sonos like to keep it simple. You don't need to be a tech genius or a wireless expert. You don't have to break through walls or hire someone to re-wire your house. And you don't need to know what hex keys and SSID are.

All you need is a high-speed Internet connection, a router and two fingers so you can push the buttons on the front of every ZonePlayer. When you want to expand, just add more ZonePlayers and Controllers and get those fingers ready. Check out the diagrams below to see just how easy Sonos setup really is.

To begin, you must first create a Sonos network (SonosNet); to do this you simply connect a Sonos ZoneBridge or Sonos ZonePlayer to your router via an Ethernet cable.

Once this is done, you can then place ZonePlayers throughout your home, anywhere where you want to listen to your music. The Sonos system will automatically find the music stored on your PC or Network Attached Storage device (NAS).

That's it, you're all done. Now sit back and control your music from anywhere in your home via the easy to use Sonos controller.
