Switchers - Connect multiple sources devices to one port

Switchers (also know as selectors) are used to connect several source devices to one input port. For instance, you may have several source components that use HDMI but if your TV only has one HDMI port it will only be possible to connect one at a time. By connecting all the source device to a switcher you will then be able to easily select the source to be displayed without the need for replugging cables.

Signal Extenders

Signal extenders will allow you to send your audio, video or digital signals over long distances. Conventional cables will limit the maximum length that a signal can be transfered. The actual legth will depend on the type of signal but thanks to these clever gadgets most common problems can be overcome.

There are two main types of signal extenders; ones that boost or amplify the signal so that it can be transmitted over longer lengths of conventional cable, and extenders that have a sender and a receiver which can be joined with very long lengths of CAT5 cable.
